‘A Therapeutic and Commercial Arts and Crafts Enterprise’
Rainbow Gallery is one of the 7 life Skills provided by Canterbury Oast Trust.
The Rainbow Gallery is an inspiring art project based in the double roundel Oast house (Yonsea Farm), it is located parallel to the South of England’s Rare Breeds Centre.
Artist placements are available during the week over 5 days: the sessions are broken down into morning and afternoon slots that cater for 10-12 artists per session (this equates to approx 120 placements per week).
The Gallery is a thriving and dynamic activity program that supports artists with both complex and mild learning disabilities with the support of skilled team of tutors. The reputation of the project has grown steadily through the innovation of regular community projects.
The artists of the Gallery can and have been commissioned for their design and art works as well as working collaboratively on the production of Christmas Cards and Calendars.

Within sessions the activities range of artistic techniques are nurtured and developed these include: Pottery, Mosaic, Printmaking , Collage, Oil and water colour painting, Theatrical and prop design, Textiles, Felt making, Silk painting, Batik, Desk Top Publishing and Multi Sensory sessions.
